Officials at the Walton Arts Center are seeking art submissions for a group show of local works this fall.
The new show, called Our Art, Our Region, Our Time and which will feature NWA visual artists, will be curated by local artist Kathy Thompson.
Artists over the age of 18 from the NWA region are invited to submit work created after July 1, 2021 for the show, which will consider various genres, including painting, sculpture, digital, printmaking, fiber, photography, mixed media, craft , fashion and illustration.
The exhibition will not be organized around any particular theme, and the idea is to celebrate the talent of NWA artists.
The selections for the new show will be announced on September 6. The exhibit will be on view at WAC’s Joy Pratt Markham Gallery beginning October 6 and running through November 13.
Artists may submit up to two pieces for consideration, however, only one work per artist will be accepted for the show.
The deadline to submit papers is August 15.
