The Marion Arts Center’s annual outdoor artisan market, Art in the Garden, returns to Bicentennial Park in Marion on Saturday, July 9, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. A rainy date is scheduled for Sunday, July 10. The park is across the street from MAC, located at 80 Pleasant Street in Marion, around the corner from Main and Pleasant.

The curated event will feature nearly 45 artists and craftspeople from across the region and include many new vendors this year. Items include baskets, ceramics, clothing, collages, fiber, glass, jewelry, woodworking, hand-painted and crafted furniture, paintings, photography, and more. Shop for gifts, fine art and handmade goods, have lunch or ice cream, listen to live music by Richard Lewis and John Fernandes and take the kids for free games and craft activities on the MAC page! Visit the MAC gallery all day to see a new exhibition, Mary Ross: A Retrospective, which features Ross’s unique collages, paintings and collections over 60 years.

Visitors can enter for a chance to win prizes from sweepstakes with one original work from each vendor. This year, MAC will raffle two tickets for its main summer fundraiser, Cocktails by the Sea, scheduled for July 29, for $190! Tickets to the summer party will also be available for purchase within MAC. For more information, visit marionartcenter.org or email MAC at info@marionartcenter.org.
