Amazon Prime has launched a season pass in France for its coverage of Ligue 1 football.
Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 are offered for an annual fee of 89 €, which will be offered from 11 July to 28 August, when the first match between PSG and Monaco is shown. The tax will then be 99 €.
The package includes the top ten picks from the Ligue 1 and a multiplex from the Ligue 2 game program.
Subscribers must first subscribe to Amazon Prime itself, which is € 49 per year or € 5.99 per month. This means that the total subscription for French viewers is € 12.99.
No details were released about viewers, though Amazon revealed that one million people watched the big games in December.
In addition, the Ligue 2 multiplex is no longer transmitted by the L’Équipe channel, but Amazon is working with the group to sell other rights to the league. The agreement with TF1, which allows the first channel to broadcast extracts from matches in its Sunday program Téléfoot, has not been renewed at the moment, although it is likely that something will be signed before the new season.
